If you turn on the television during the day you are likely to see an ad for a law firm that represents people that have been injured. They use pictures of people with neck braces, people with an arm or a leg in a sling and even lacerations. While these are effective images, they typically represent short term issues that are dealt with and the victim moves on once healed.  What about other long term issues?

We decided long ago that we wanted to truly represent the injured person and that means understanding what today’s injury will mean 10 years down the road.  This is accomplished us the Owestry Rating System.  This measures the impact that an injury has on the lifestyle of the victim.  Broken legs typically heal.  Cuts and bruises heal as well.  Not being able to care for yourself may be a life long change.

We recently had a lady who was bitten by a dog on her face and her lip was damaged to the point where she could no longer kiss her husband of many years.  The actual injury healed while the emotional pain will be present for the rest of her life.  We had a man who was injured so badly that his neck required surgical intervention for him to escape the pain he was living with.  The side effect of that injury meant that he could not effectively hug his children and no longer had the strength to hold his infant.  That is both a physical and emotional aspect of an injury that must be accounted for and compensated for.  These are issues we pay close attention to.

Activities of Daily Living issues are often missed when someone is working toward a quick settlement.  Before the long term issues are known it is irresponsible to even discuss a settlement or attempt to arrive at a case value.  Here is a quick question for you… “How much money would you take to never hug one of your children again for as long as you are alive?”

At the Law office of Guenard & Bozarth we pay attention to issues like these because this is how we would want to be treated.  If you have been in an accident call us first and we will talk to you for free.  Information is priceless!  Call us at 24/7/365 at 888-809-1075 or visit www.gblegal.com  We Can Help!

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.
