What To Do If You’ve Been Assaulted By A Bouncer…

For those of us who have been to a bar or nightclub, I am sure you have also come across an overzealous bouncer who takes his job a little too seriously.

We recently handled a case where our client was in line trying to get into a sports bar in Downtown Sacramento. Unfortunately, another patron in line punched our client without any warning. The bouncer thought our client was the aggressor. He took our client to the ground, put him in an armbar, and broke his arm.

Although some bouncers believe they have a license to behave badly, they do not.

Their job is to maintain a reasonably safe environment and conduct themselves in a reasonable manner when dealing with customers and patrons. Bouncers are generally employees of the bar or nightclub and do not have any more rights than its patrons they serve.

Bouncers are only allowed to use force if it is first used against them or to protect innocent bystanders from violence. The most important thing to remember here is that if they do use force, it must be justified and reasonable under the circumstances.

As for our client, we litigated the case and we were able to settle the case for over a quarter million dollars.

I am Anthony Wallen of Guenard & Bozarth, LLP. We represent people who are injured because of the careless and reckless acts of others.  At the end of the day your case can only be settled one time and you need to know all of the facts beforehand. The reason that insurance companies have paid our clients in excess of $130,000,000.00 is that we get the facts and are not intimidated at the prospect of going to trial when they refuse to follow the law. We help with serious issues that require serious representation. We are the Law Offices of Guenard & Bozarth. We have over 60 years of experience in our plaintiff’s only law firm. We are totally committed to each client’s case because each client has a special story to be told. Call us anytime at (916) 714-7672 or visit www.gblegal.com.

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.

I live in Elk Grove where we don’t always have a lot of choices. Lawyers are one area where we have few good choices. I wanted to work with a local law firm after my motorcycle accident, and I chose Glenn Guenard and Ross Bozarth.
