A Rancho Cordova caregiver is facing two felony charges after allegations she was connected to the death of an elderly woman under her care. According to a news release from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department the death happened over the past weekend at a care home located in the 10200 block of Goinyour Way in Rancho Cordova.

The death occurred at Benny’s home which was formerly known as Jenny’s home. 59 year old Oluwatoyin Mudashiru was an employee of the facility and was caring for the woman at the time of her death. A couple who own the home and care business have owned it since 2018. Before they bought this business the couple was involved in the operation of this business. Sheriff’s investigators are also looking into another board-and-care home owned by this same couple on the 2100 block of McGregor Drive in Rancho Cordova.

Mudashiru is being held without bail in the Sacramento County Main Jail and faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and willfully causing or permitting elder or dependent abuse. Although some forms of elder abuse such as physical abuse are usually taken seriously, other forms are harder to identify. According to National Center on Elder Abuse there are 7 main types of elder abuse. The 7 types of elder abuse are: Physical abuseSexual abuse; Emotional or psychological abuse; Neglect; Abandonment; Financial abuseSelf-neglect.

Never in my life did I think I would recommend an attorney. Somehow God sent this angel of an attorney to assist me in my personal injury lawsuit. I was told by lawyers in Bakersfield that my lawsuit was frivolous because there was money in it.
